DESIGNED WITH LEO A DALY

Situated in a liminal space between the entrances to the Hotel Lobby, Event Center, and Main Casino, the challenge was to design a space to engage guests whether the area was fully activated with event crowds or quieter during off hours. The aquatic concept achieves this with its cylindrical aquarium behind the bar and jelly fish tank encased in dark paneled walls. Further reinforcing the deep-sea underwater theme, water-like glass walls embrace the perimeter, an installation of illuminated jellyfish hangs above a relaxed lounge area, and custom carpet and lighting reminiscent of ocean currents wrap around the circular bar. In addition, the Lobby Bar is a front to a secret bar beyond.

Passing through a hidden panel door in the Lobby Bar, guests enter the sexy, sultry Lux Lounge with its modern Prohibition-era speakeasy vibe. Tasked with following a similar aesthetic as its sister club at Live! Hotel & Casino in Philadelphia, moody lighting, heavy velvet drapes, vintage furniture and warm brass accents were used. Highlights of the design are its dramatically glowing bar to showcase an extensive whiskey offering, VIP and DJ booths, and an Ice Bar for sipping icy cocktails at below freezing temperatures.
