The Team

   As Creative Director, Beth Bloom oversees the design process through all phases of a project’s development. She brings leadership, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit to every project, viewing each as an opportunity to transform space and inspire others. Combining her artistic abilities, love of restaurants, and world travels, Beth has developed a unique design perspective, approaching her work through the lens of both an operator and a guest.

Beth began her design career in 2005, focusing on residential interiors in the SF Bay Area. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she spent nearly a decade at top hospitality design firms like HBA and Leo A Daly. During this time, she led teams in producing high-quality, unique designs worldwide, completing projects that include restaurants, bars, spas, resorts, gaming and entertainment venues, private villas, and luxury residences.

A true foodie, Beth has a passion for food & beverage design, which stems from her extensive experience in the restaurant industry. She spent over 18 years in hospitality operations, working with several leading hotel brands, where she gained a deep understanding of operational and guest service requirements, as well as corporate branding strategies.

Beth has traveled extensively, drawing inspiration from the art, architecture, food, and cultures of the places she visits. She enjoys finding innovative ways to incorporate traditional design techniques into her projects. Additionally, as a painter, sculptor, and trained metalsmith, Beth has exhibited and sold her artwork and jewelry, and has been commissioned to create pieces for other designers and manufacturers in the design industry.

   Shawn Gong brings over 15 years of expertise in the creative design world, encompassing interior design, project management, and design documentation. As a proven professional, Shawn has showcased his versatility globally, setting new standards in design excellence across a spectrum of projects—from high-end restaurants, and beautiful resorts and hotels, to shopping malls, and expansive residential developments.

In his previous role as Architectural Designer at AVRP Skyport, Shawn made his mark in the Greater San Diego Area, specializing in hospitality design, high-rise residential, and mixed-use building design. His skills span the entire design process, from conceptualization to construction documentation, with expertise in programming, space planning, 3D modeling, rendering, and quality control of presentation documents.

In his current role at Beth Bloom Designs, Shawn brings his wealth of experience and skills to create innovative and impactful design solutions. He remains dedicated to pushing boundaries and delivering excellence in every project he undertakes.

    Yu Ling Tong began her career at EDG Design Group in California, specializing in F&B projects for luxury hotels. In 2012, she moved to Hong Kong and joined The Gettys Group in a leadership role, where she immersed herself in hospitality projects across Asia. She then joined Café de Coral, Asia's largest publicly listed restaurant and catering group, as the in-house design lead, making a significant impact on project execution.

With over thirteen years of experience in design consultancy and owner/developer roles, Yu Ling brings a seasoned perspective to Beth Bloom Designs. Her extensive background in hospitality project management makes her a valuable asset to the team's creative endeavors.

Sixu (Nannan) Chen brings more than twelve years’ experience to her role as Senior Interior Designer at Beth Bloom Designs. Her career has included high-end residential projects for Hollywood celebrity clients, international five-star hotels for some of the top hotel brands in the world, and shopping center designs for CRL, one of China’s largest commercial developers. She has an innate sense of design and color, and her considerable experience has allowed her to develop into a highly organized, results-oriented designer, with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

She is an enthusiastic interior designer who believes each well-designed space should be a unique and sensitive response to its location, culture, architecture, and client vision. She strives to create memorable spaces that inspire, and better people’s lives regardless of its project type. She is also a true artist at heart and loves painting in her spare time. In her eyes, design has no boundary, and art is infinite.

    Dane Quay brings over a decade of experience crafting unparalleled hospitality experiences. Working with the world’s top firms, he has left his mark on prestigious projects globally, showcasing his expertise in all aspects of the design process.

With a focus on the ideal guest experience, Dane draws inspiration from his extensive travels and background in event design. From concept to completion, he ensures each project aligns with clients' goals, making guest experience a top priority. His philosophy centers around co-creating and envisioning success bringing clients' aspirations to life.

Dane's impressive portfolio includes iconic projects such as Niccolo Chongqing in China, Hilton Wenchang in China, Resorts World in Las Vegas, and many more. His contributions extend to diverse locations, emphasizing his versatility and commitment to delivering exceptional, innovative design solutions. 

With over 8 years of experience, Yazmin Gutierrez is a highly accomplished interior designer with robust experience within the hospitality industry. Having collaborated with prestigious companies such as Soho House, DesignAgency, and HBA, her expertise extends across a diverse range of projects, including restaurants, hotels, resorts, private member clubs, multi-unit residential spaces, and creative environments. 

With an ability to translate highly conceptual ideas into tangible designs and an eye for detail, Yazmin’s spaces are a powerful expression of her unique vision. Her passion lies in crafting unforgettable experiences, believing that a place should evoke emotions of happiness and leave a lasting imprint on its visitors. Driven by a relentless pursuit of inspiration, Yazmin finds creative fuel in her love for travel, food, music, and culture, infusing her design process with an authentic touch.

Yazmin's portfolio features an array of distinctive work, including the iconic Carversteak in Las Vegas, and numerous projects with both the Neuehouse and Soho House brands.

  Andrea Hernandez, a 2018 graduate in Interior Design from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, leans on her passion and creativity to lend a unique perspective to design. Her approach is rooted in a genuine connection with people—she enjoys being close, listening, and understanding their needs to bring dream interior designs to life.

Dedicated and detail-oriented, Andrea immerses herself in her work, ensuring every aspect receives careful attention. Her inspiration springs from diverse sources, including art, museums, travel, fashion, and new experiences. As a kind and positive individual, Andrea values quality time with family and friends. 

From music to movement, Andrea finds joy in the perpetual pursuit of knowledge. With a blend of artistic flair and a people-centric approach, she enriches the creative landscape of every project.
